What can I expect from therapy?

When you meet with a therapist you will start an assessment process, which may take a number of sessions. The assessment process is a chance to talk about what your concerns are, and any other relevant information, including your family history. Importantly, it gives you and the therapist the opportunity to see if you can work together. At the end of the assessment you and the therapist will discuss together ongoing work, including the frequency of sessions and the length of treatment. The therapists at The Space can offer up to 4 times a week. More commonly, patients are seen at least weekly.
